So attended the open day Trap Shoot at the local range yesterday. 8 stages for a 50 bird trap course. Coerced my sister into coming as well. A nice gentleman offered to shoot with us and show the ropes, since neither of us had shot a true trap course before. We both had a great time, although I have to give the win to her. I started my day with a 43/50, next round was a 38,50, third was a 33/50, and fourth was a 36/50. She shot a 31/50, 32/50, 33/50, and ended with a 36/50. So even though we tied the last two runs, she improved over the day while I went down the drain. But alas just means we have to have a rematch in a month at the next open day :D

But after 200rds of 7/8oz trap loads out of my Weatherby Orion, I'm feeling it today. Dropped off the ole SKB at the smith for a new grind to fit Limbsaver buttpad, and maybe considering throwing a recoil comp in the stock as well. Need to get a slip one limbsaver for her Moss 500, since her length of pull is too short for her now (youth model 20ga). I had planned to do this a year ago to the Orion but never got around to it. But after yesterday, I fully intend to shoot that Orion at as many trap events as I possibly can. Sister's a trooper as well, not sore at all, and nagging me when we're going out again :p
