I recently traded for a model 58 S&W and was wondering if anyone made target grips for it? I tried a set of old target grips I had from a model 29 and they dont quite fit. any suggestions?

Everybody that makes grips makes grips for a S&W N-Frame.

The model number is irrevelent, as they are all the same, in theory.
Back in the day, S&W grips were fitted to the steel frame before the grips and frame were finished & blued.
That make a direct grip swap with a perfect fit sometimes problematic.

You might be happy with a Hogue Mono-Grip as they fit any variation of S&W without fitting.

Or keep trying real S&W N-Frame grips till you find a set that fits right.

Thanks RC , I thought the same thing but the N frame grips I have were from a model 29 and dont fit and I just wondered if the frame was a little different or something. Thanks for the answer.

Sometimes it only takes a slight amount of adjusting for the grip to fit. Post a pic so we can see what you might do.

The .41 mag has plenty of recoil if loaded full power. I prefer the Pachmayr "Presentations" for shooting and have put them on my 57 Mountain Pistol. They do a good job in absorbing recoil and providing control. For me they just feel and work better than the finger groove Houges.
