I am looking for a retractable stock for my GSG-5..(.22 cal) rifle. Anyone have advice for a replacement model..I was looking at RRANGES.com..They have 2 models,Classic Army GSG 5 Retractable Stock and a GSG Brand M4 Style Retractable Stock(American Tactical logo on the side of the stock) ..There are a lot of cheap poor quality replacement parts out there for this gun and I am trying to avoid any disappointment.. Thanks, Dave

The ATI brand I got works but it scratches the side of the inset when you slide the stock. I would be interested in other options as well.

In short the retractable stocks (HK OEM excluded) while more compact, tend to exhibit a bit of movement, but are serviceable (great for a plinker). The folders are much more solid, but are a good bit bigger as well. I chose the ClassicArmy retractable for mine, and I am pretty happy with it.

:)

Seeing this thread gave me the initiative to D&T the lt. side (on the small slope at the end) retractable stock arm for a bolt to stop it from being pulled out completely (when pulling it out quickly). I used a stainless No. 6-32 bolt from a outdoor receptacle box, and it worked out well. Might be something you want to consider as well.
