Anyone know a good gun magazine? I live in canada, so no hopes of guetting one in the stores around here

therefore im looking for suggestions for a magazine i could suscribe:D

Hi. Most, if not all, of the book store chains, up here, have stopped selling firearm related periodicals and books. So have most variety stores. Alledgedly to be PC. Chapters' owners, for one, are just plain anti-firearm. Your best bet for gun rags is your local gun shop.
In any case, few of the gun rags are worth buying anyway. Too expensive by the time the taxes are added too. $10 for a gun rag is nuts. The articles are nothing but extended press releases for the publication's advertisers. And endless repetition of articles and subjects. I can't remember the number of times the 9mm vs .45 has been debated. In 30 some years, I've seen one article that didn't say the firearm was the best thing since sliced bread. Jeff Cooper, I think it was, actually called the HK VP70 a jam-o-matic.
Come by http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/ too.

Hey, I live in Quebec City, Canada, I buy the GUNS&AMMO magazine, it's not worth it because of it's price, here I can pay up to 9$, but most are 4-5$, I don't buy every month because of the bad selection at Jac&Gil for firearms related magazines.

You need to narrow your interests a bit!

Which magazine you subscribe to depends on what area of gun ownership interests you?
I'm more interested in self-defense etc, and subscribe to Combat Handguns (although they do get a bit heavy with the 1911 reviews).
I also like Massad Ayoob's articles in each issue on Self Defense and the Law.
Hey, it never hurts to join the NRA and get America's First Freedom!

'Course, being in Canada I don't know how interested you are in USA laws?

why would I join NRA? i dont even live in the us, i thought nra stood for national rifle association and im not part of your nation:p, sadly enough (the right to bear arms in canada is inexistent!)

oh and basicblur is right, it'd help to mention my interests, well i'm interested in the guns emselves, new technologies, new guns, not assault rifles though, only hunting/cowboy/handguns

oh and basicblur is right
Well at's somthing I don't hear too often...
Go ahead...say it again...LOUDER!
I dunno...I'm just not feelin' it! :D

why would I join NRA? i dont even live in the us
'Cuz we're not too proud to take your money-even if it is that "Canadian" stuff!
(can't really joke 'bout Canadian money anymore based on what the dollar's doing!)

Joining the NRA makes no sense for you, but joining the NFA does -- that's the National Firearms Association of Canada. They want to be the NRA's northern counterpart. Website is http://www.nfa.ca/. Their magazine, the Canadian Firearms Journal, is decent enough.
