That slow, steady accumulation of firearms has ensured that I am now in need of (another) gun safe, and of course this happens at such a precarious time such as this, right before the election, when I have been occupied with buying more guns and ammo.

As it stands, I have several safes- they are not top dollar safes, but they are positioned so that they cannot be found unless you know where they are, and the guns that "overflow" these safes are also hidden pretty well. Although they aren't the super-massive safes that some of you might have, it is unreasonable to think a criminal could carry one of these out, at least not without some SERIOUS help, and he would have to rearrange a good deal of furniture and junk to get to them...

However, I also perceive a need for a new reloading press, and was hoping to cash in on the Hornady LNL AP, what with its free 1000 bullets offer. I have several other presses, and have used progressives in the past, but do not currently own one.

For what it's worth, my budget is fairly tight... I just bought another AR, and part of my spendin' money will be going to either a PTR or FAL before the year is over, most likely.

Dicks Sporting Goods, an establishment I normally don't care for, has Stack-On 16-gun safes for $350, and 24 gun safes for $550. I have some stack-on safes, and have no complaints with them. Is there a better option out there for the money? Hopefully one where the freight is either low, or its close enough to my home (Near Greensboro, NC) that I can pick it up.

So, non-binding poll time, and your opinion and insight is welcomed... new safe, or sexy progressive press? I need not tell you which I would prefer to own, but sometimes we have to spend money on necessities rather than wants...

my thinking you cant shoot what you dont have so if the guns get stolen a press wont help any.

if you have a secure house and decent insurange get the press

if your going to get another safe. Get the biggest safe you can afford. Biggest mistake people make is they get a small one. Then they get in the situation of where the safe is full and they need to buy another.

Sell some guns and buy a press and some more components. If you already have several safes you probably already have more guns than you can be skilled with. Shoot more, collect less.

ive heard from a few gun shop owners that the price of gun safes is going to be going up over the next several months, so you might want to be getting that safe first.

price of steel is going up so that is causing everything to go up

I voted to sell them and donate to Brady, but only because I figured that I would be the only one. Personally, I'd buy both if I had to get another job.
