A durian is considered a deadly weapon in Thailand, and assault with a Durian (in case you don't know what a durian is, it's a spikey-skinned fruit) holds the same penalty as assault with a knife..

Oh, boy. I most definitely know what a durian is. Those things are absolutely repugnant. I can get assault with a durian, yep. ;-)

The parent who complained, Karen Young, doesn't want fish-shaped toy guns in her house because she accidentally shot an ex-boyfriend one time when the gun she was beating him with went off.

Beam me up Scotty,....there's no intelligent life on this planet............:what: :banghead:

Not to offend anyone...

However, I have this mental picture of the person living in a trailer on the edge of La La Land, blonde, very few teeth, the kids are 1/2 clothed, and waiting for her government check....

It just proves that there are mental faculties in the single digits...:banghead:

Great stuff.

I followed some of the links back to the Arkansas news channel that reported the story. Here is some more quotes:

Young says she has strict guidelines at home and she wants her children to understand that guns are not toys. Young says two of her brothers were shot in domestic disputes, her uncle committed suicide with a gun and she accidentally shot her ex boyfriend when the gun she hit him with went off.

Sigh

And her I was hoping it was all some big joke.

good stuff, good stuff.

I wish there was a contact info to the mother in that article so I can give her my $0.02

Man.... if she read my email of what I thought of her.......... :fire:

.... absolutely unbelievable.... :banghead:

frozen salmon
Hmmmm. One of those high capacity assault fish.

I'm so glad we'll be able to buy assault swordfish with bayo lugs, collapsable stocks, flash suppressors AND "fish-tol" grips when the AWB sunsets in September.
Shouldn't that be "when the AFB sunsets"

First Clinton and now this. Maybe we should only have 49 states. Ak is the place were a guy has what looks to be a 30ft sailboat in the middle of a pond next to interstate. Buba and Bubarellas . I have a idea Lets move some people from Tx there that way can raise IQ of both states. Just kidding:neener:

What gets me is the head-weiner-dog-in-charge APOLOGISED! :scrutiny:

My neighbor that raised a big stink
Well I hope you took the time to give her the phone numbers of a couple of good shrinks before you went back to teaching your kid to shoot his pellet gun.

I've been saying this for awhile.

These idiots judge everyone else by assuming that everyone else would do that they would in a given situation.

In this case, the woman doesn't want guns around because she believes that others would treat them as carelessly as she would, causing a dangerous situation.

I claim that when it gets right down to it, that liberal friend at the office who doesn't like guns is afraid of them because he/she thinks that others might be just like they are. I.e. They would lose control and kill or hurt someone/they would be careless with them, etc., etc.

If this had to come out of anywhere in Arkansas, I would expect it to come from Fayetteville, or maybe Little Rock. Not Rogers. I am trying to come up with some way to describe her stupidity, but....uhhh.....I think you guys have got it covered.

Hey, MICHAEL T --

Before you go dissing whole other states, you should know a few things:

* The postal abbreviation AK (notice that both letters are capitalized?) is for Alaska, that big, sometimes-cold state up by Canada.

* Arkansas is abbreviated AR.

*"Were" is the past tense of "is"; "where" is the word for which you may have been looking.

* "Bubba" is spelled with two B's.

Also, you left out a "we" and two "the"s.

People who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

Love,

Matt

Actually, "Bubba" is spelled with three B's.
:D :D This from a man with too many 'o's in his name... :D :D

That's one of my favorite tweaks--ask someone if there are two or three 'l's in 'leveled', for example. Never fails to get an odd look.

HEY - GIVE THE WOMAN A BREAK...

The "fish-shaped water pistol" may have looked intimidating:

She might also be tempted to beat someone with it - again.

Why people like that continue to reproduce is a mystery to me...

I can't believe no one has stated the obvious yet!

No wonder she hates it--you can't beat someone up with a water gun!

Wow, now I want a 'fish gun' ...

Does anyone know where I can find a 'tactical black squirt gun' shaped like a Barracuda ???

Can someone tell me why this psychotic piece of white trash still has custody of her children?
