Gun Storage

Hello to All

I am looking for information on a storage place in Montana. I am going to Canada and do not want to go through all the problems of takeing a hand gun into Canada. Called up there and you would of thought I was going to invade. Told me to leave my handgun in Texas.

I was told that some of the duty free stores have storage lockers. I would like to know for sure before I get up there.l\

One idea is to leave it at a gun shop in some Montana city close to the Canadian border for "cleaning and inspection," then pick it up when you come back.

Another is to get to know some pro-gun people in Montana (such as here: http://opencarry.mywowbb.com/forum34/) and arrange to leave it with someone, then pick it up on the way back.

I was going to do this myself with a VCDL (Virginia Citizens Defense League) member when I got to VA because I did not want to risk taking my gun into anti-gun Police State MD for the 2-3 days I would be there visiting. Sure, it's taking some risk since I didn't know the person personally (just in the OpenCarry.org Forums), but the VCDL is doing good things in VA for "the cause" and I personally had no problem trusting a VCDL member.

Other states have similar pro-gun organizations...check into what Montana has...make a new friend!
