I am humbled and honored to have been, and continue to be a student of H&H, I appreciate his time, and his sharing of his experiences with me.

I will never be at his level, but have made it to "yeller" bunny slipper level. Which is really good, and the next level is pink ( pronounced "pank", if'n one is from the South as I are).

H&H is at level pank, btw..

What I have learnt so far:

-45-70 vs 000 buckshot, from a 3 1/2 shotgun shell: it don't matter, the Internet will have another "Ultimate" gun and load, each day one reads the Internet.
So run what works for you, for task.

-Towel vs Toga.
Well, H&H comes from a tribe that goes with the toga. Me, having finally read the Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe, have chosen to go with the towel.

It don't matter. One looks as they look in toga, and after 50 years, I still can't jump off the porch, and break my fall with a towel. So it don't matter.

So one is wise to not post pics of themselves in a toga, or to jump off the porch with a towel.

-If in a plane, that might need to "land right here and now" ( we don't use the word "crash"), the old advice, of jumping up, just before one hits the ground, still applies.

-It don't matter what one uses, to fell groundhawgs, shot placement is the key. One does what one does, to keep the heathens from eating the hoses and wiring from Farmall and Kubota tractors.

-Taking kids the shooting, beats the heck out of doing yard work and other chores.

-Break open guns, be they single shot, or double guns, are neat.
Guns like single shot shotguns, or dangerous game rifles [double barrel] , mean, bigger shells/cartridges, so one can see them, and feel them. And, if'n one should drop a hull, or casing, they are easy to see, and retrieve.
(Age has its perks...)

-Life is too short, to not have a sense of humor.

And some more stuff...

In my case I'll go with the toga, it hides more. Tho in hot climates a sarong is the best. My favorite is from Lamu, traditional style.
Oh, and rock on H&H.

No, but stick around long enough - years? - and it will all start making sense. Okay, maybe it won't make sense but you'll begin to see the humor in it.

GO RAMS.

(In December, somebody at the Vegas Hilton sports book bet $10 on VCU to win it all. They got 5,000 to 1 odds.)
