An actual MP5 is going to cost a lot of money. The semi auto clones arent to bad.

Vector makes good HK clones, though they are usually backordered. Stay away from Vulcan arms and redrock tactical(formerly bobcat). Another good option is a Lusa from JLD. The Lusa is similar to the MP5 but has an extended magwell which acts as a pistol grip and uses mags similar to uzi mags.

If you are looking for a full-auto capable firearm, poke around a bit over at www.uzitalk.com They have a program called "uzifinder" that you can use to search the big subgun boards for full auto weapons for sale (not just UZIs).

This one looks interesting--what's their track record? Bringing a firearm to market is no small feat, anything to suggest this won't be another hesse/vulcan?

Couldn't help but notice it had a bolt hold open wonder if they will use mp5 mags or another mag to trip the bolt hold open?

    nevermind, it's $2,200, not $1,000. No 10mm either. Craptastic.

    648E, correction:
it will come in 10mm, though not at the initial release. Conversion kits will be released prior to the main release for 10mm, .40S&W, .22LR and others.

The MK5 uses UMP magazines, but many MP5 parts. Calibers can be swapped in minutes.

The different rounds that the gun will be intented to use are .17, .22, 9mm, 10mm, 40 s&w, .45 ACP, .45 GAP, .357 sig, and I believe .380 auto.

Vulcan/Hesse have track records... it hasn't helped their quality (or lack thereof).

I don't know about autoweapons I emailed them with a question on a price (Mp5 coincidentally) and got a snide response from them.

LOL why would one want an MK5 in .45GAP? Especially when you can get it in the kit for the real .45 for the same price?

    I'm personally only interested in the .22, .357SIG, .40S&W, 10mm, .45ACP versions. .17, .380... meh...

Mehhh... that's a rather small niche market... doesn't make sense for a company with such an innovative gun to cater to that market in the beginning. Not really smart business wise.
If they were a business that catered specifically to the .45GAP market and made this gun, then that would be different.
