I voted Smith & Wesson. Not sure why, but I think it may be because I have more S&W's than all other makes combined. :)

The answer remains the same as it has since 1935-FN

I'm happy to say the year belonged to Strum & Ruger. Given that let us go with SR1911. Wee, wee.

    SR1911 was 2011

2012 is the Springfield Armory XD-s all the way. A superbly reliable, very small .45ACP with extreme accuracy.

My $201.50 delivered Zastava Yugo M57 with two magazines in 7.62x25mm Tokarev. Liked it so much I ordered two more that are due for UPS delivery tomorrow. Sure, there will be more cosmoline, but I like 'em. I am anxious to see what kind of shape these will be in.

    Pistol

I voted S&W because of the new M&P C.O.R.E. pistols. The ability to accept the mini-red dot into the pre-machined slide cut away is a great concept. Pioneered by FN in their Tactical Models, this small change elevates pistols to another level of performance. At least I tried to vote S&W, however I got "flagged" that I had already voted. I don't remember what I voted for but suspect it was FN for the same reason as S&W.

I voted for S&W not for there new stuff but for my 627-3 V-comp prelock.

It is my favorite gun, best shooter and holds 8 rounds of .357 I think it will always be my gun of the year!!

My favorite two of the year are my 8-shot 357 S&W model 627 Performance Center and my S&W Shield 9mm. So, I had to vote S&W.

XDs gets my vote, so Springfield takes it according to this survey. Also, I'm impressed with their stock XDm 5.25. out of the box it's ready to party.
