Nice Beretta 92 with all stainless parts on it! Was it made in Italy and also where did you find those hypnotic grips? They're really wild looking!

Never met a S&W J frame that I didn't like! Your Model 60 looks great, especially with the bobbed hammer!

Thanks bannockburn. I like that you chose a glorious battle as your forum name. That hammer was bobbed by the previous owner. I don't know why he did it, as he carried it OWB. Good that he did as I pocket-carry it and a bobbed hammer is a comforting feature, particularly in that mode.

Classic snubby! Congrats on your new Colt Cobra in such fine condition too!

bannockburn,

Thanks! I have memories just on this forum going back 10 years drooling over Cobras not half as nice as the example I ended up getting my hands on. This is probably the highlight of my gun collecting experience thus far, and that’s not for a lack of amazing guns that have come my way.

Now that you have it and it's in such beautiful condition will it be tucked away in the gun safe or will you put it to good use as your CCW?

As nice as this one is, it is fortunately not pristine. It has bare metal showing through the anodizing in a few small spots. There’s a rub mark on a few parts of the cylinder. The hammer already has a patina tan where the past owners thumbs touched it.

Basically it’s a very nice condition shooter and at least it will be shot as often as any of my other revolvers.

Carry is a different can of worms. I’m sure I will put it on for special occasions as long as the weather won’t include excess humidity, but generally I’m not going to risk the loss or damage to a gun that my Rossi .38 or my Enfield would be 90% the functional equal to.

I totally understand and agree! Eager to hear how well it does at the range!
