As of Sunday 7/12/09 @ 5:44p.m. I'm a daddy. We welcomed a beautiful, healthy baby boy into our lives and I can't believe how wonderful life is.

Guess I need to start researching those youth model 22lrs now....I can't wait.
 
+1 CONGRATUALTIONS!!! now the fun starts! honestly, 5 years from now, you will even look back at changing dirty diapers fondly. there is no love deeper than that of a fathers love for his kids. and it is something you can only learn by becoming a dad. the best advice i can give you is this; put off chores as often as you can, to spend quality time with your kids. the chores will still be there, and they are totally ungrateful. but time spent with your kids is the best time in your lifes (both for you, and the kids). enjoy!
 
IF your in VA, keep him away from my daughter due in DEC. Congrats man. My buddie bought a henry golden boy for his granddaughter when she was born. That was a few years ago and it still hasn't been shot.

Trust me on this - take as many pictures as you think you will ever need, then take more. They grow up so fast.
 
Congrats!!!

Being the father of two grown sons (19 and 28) I can tell you that there is no better joy than watching your children grow into fine young men/women. I have absolutely loved being a father.

Be smart and set up a college trust for him Monday morning. You and he will be glad you did.

I just set one up, my third now, only this time it's for my awesomely handsome and obviously smart Grandson! :)
 
Congratulations. Cherish the days & nights with your new family member. Take lots of pictures.
Man, seems like just yesterday my children were running around the house playing. Now my eldest is 22yo (with a 1yo daughter) and my youngest is 9yo. The two middle ones will be graduating soon. They sure grow quickly. Enjoy the ride.:)
 
CONGRATUALTIONS - may all of your days be as happy as this event. Buy your son a life membership in the NRA now because they will cost a million bucks by the time he is 18.

+1 for Grassman's post. But I certainly believe a Red Ryder is about the best little starter gun for a kid. Might as well get one know...who knows, BB guns may be illegal by the time he's old enough to shoot one.
 
Congrats on being a daddy. While I second the notion to buy a life membership to the NRA and guns now, I am sure that you have plenty of new expenses with this new addition so maybe start with the membership and work from there.
