So, Happy New Year to all the THRers!

two questions:

What will be your first new gun of the year?

and:

Money issues aside, if you could buy any one dream gun this year, what would it be? Rules: it must be real, and it must be legal.

my answers:
My first gun will be an compact/officers model 1911, probably a springfield. I hope to buy it by the end of january, but won't hold my breath for it.

My dream gun for the year would be one of the following: M60A3, Barret M82A1, M16, or Ma Deuce. I can't really decide which of those is really the *one* dream gun for me, though.

My first gun will be either a spare Glock 20 or spare Glock 29.

Dream gun? MP5-10!

Although I plan to buy a full auto of some sort this year. It will probably be an M16 just due to budget constraints. I will definatly get a 10mm upper though! That would be close enough to a dream gun for me!

I'm a college student, so I have very little money available for guns. but eventually I *will* buy full-auto

A Wilson or an Ed Brown, but it looks more like a Ruger 22.

I won't be able to afford it, but if I could, my dream gun for 2003 would be a Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special. Mmmm... I need a drooling smilie!!!

I am opinionated and prone to sermons and rantings. I have tried to tone myself down on this wonderful new board. That said by a Mercy of the Lord, my first new gun of the year is a Beretta Blackwing 12 Gauge 3" Magnum 26" Barrel. Gold Trigger and the most pristine wood for an entry level O/U. The Gun Shop owner allowed me to pick it.

I say it is a Mercy rather than a blessing due to the fact that there are so many in need of things far more basic and important than an O/U shotgun. I don't think God cares one way or another about something this trivial but I am thankful He allowed me to have it and I will do my best not to worship it.

I hope all of you get that gun you desire. For me this would be like getting an HK PM7 9mm if I were a handgun person.

I think my next gun will be a nice, arsenal-refurbished M1938 Mosin-Nagant.

Dream gun would be a Sharps No.1 Business Rifle.

Not sure what my first new gun of the year will be. I need to spend the $$ on practice ammo more than an additional firearm. If money were no object, it would definitely be a Steyr Scout.

Will Beararms: Great choice on the Beretta! My old 686 has been a champ! Wouldn't trade it for anything.

My first new gun of the year will either be a Marlin 880SQ or a Mossberg 500.

I already have my dream gun; a Savage 110 in .30-06.Dream accessories for it are a Timny trigger and a high-quality scope, most likely a Leupold.

I'm gonna try to have the guns I already own worked on. I want to send the Sig to Robar and the Browning to Novak.

This just might work for my this year, I live in Maryland and new pistols are going to be hard to come buy.

But I really would like to buy a DSA made FAL
