Hey There,

I recently purchased a Sig Sauer P239 SAS (40 S&W). I absolutely love the gun with one exception. The trigger pull is about 25% too long for me. I was wondering if anyone has experience with having this model modified with the short trigger pull. It is $75 plus shipping at Sig's website. Please describe your experience sending a gun to Sig and let me know how you liked the new trigger. Thanks, Jeff.

I don't have your model Sig, but I did have a "short trigger" installed on my Sig Pro 9mm. Maybe you can save yourself some time and money by doing what I did.

I didn't want to spend $75 w/Sig service plus $50 for shipping both ways just to get my finger a little better positioned on the trigger, but I was willing to spend $55 for the entire job. Here's what I did.

I ordered the Sig factory trigger from CDNN for $10 (not $50 from Sig parts)

I took the gun to a local big-box sporting goods store with general gunsmithing services on-site. I had the short trigger installed for $45 and I think he gave the gun a test fire and cleaning to boot. :D He had the gun for one week.

By the way, when I posted on the Sig forum that I thought that Sig service was over priced and I used a local gunsmith for this work on my Sig, a bunch of the Sig forum folk got all in a twist that I would let someone other than a certified Sig armorer work on this vaunted firearm. :barf:

My gun works great and I saved $70.

Good luck to you. I hope you enjoy the short trigger. I like mine.
