I saw some of this for sale at a really good price. I was wondering if anyone has tried it.

I have shot what looks like the same PPU JHP ammo but in a different box. Functions fine but never shot anything but paper with it. That's a good price. I think I paid $18/box.

It's a great price! $14 shipping for a 500rnd crate or $15 for a ($16) 50rnd box. Better to buy in bulk.

I wish my Romy Tok was reliable enough to even bother, so far it jams about once or twice a box. Think it might be the old mags I have...

Not real helpful but I've seen tests where PPU is significantly slower in 7.62x25 than other brands. Roughly 200fps slower as I recall. Probably not a lot of options for jhp in that caliber.

Privy / PPU makes really good reliable consistent ammo. I order the Monarch brand ammo from Academy Sports online in 380/9mm & .45 and it's all head stamped Privy and / or PPU whether it's the fmj or the jhp which I carry in all three calibers.

I just tried some PPU in .222 Remington. After shooting every round the bolt practically locked up. I had to use both hands to open it and eject the spent cartridge. The Hornady ammo I used right after that performed flawlessly. The PPU ammo seemed to ignite OK and was accurate enough. But perhaps it was loaded so hot that it bulged the case. I don't know, but I won't be using it again.
