Yeah it would also be more convienat for me as the iPad is a little hefty to lug to the range as opposed to a cell hone I have anyway. Hoping for android version soon but until then I will be taking the iPad with me.

Kevin - from what i know, the file database is named "Shooting_Buddy.sqlite" and it can be manually backed up and I believe that the Gun Log +P version allows for icloud sync of the database as well on wifi (if icloud is enabled on your device). The regular Gun Log version does not have the icloud backup, but it can be easily manually backed up for either version by going to the "App" section when you sync your device, scroll to "Gun Log" and just select the "Shooting_Buddy.sqlite" file and click copy than you can just paste the file to your desktop or anywhere you want. I just had to do that to transfer my info from "Gun Log" to "Gun Log +P" when I purchased that new version. Their is also a walkthrough article on the process at the developers website which can be reached through the app store.

Thanks again, Mookiie, for making me aware of this app. I installed it on my iPad and iPhone, then spent the morning logging in my collection. Despite the fact that I'm iCloud equipped, the data I entered in the iPod wasn't shared with the iPhone. I assumed the data I logged in would be shared by both devices.

Excellent, user-friendly program that is very intuitive, even for an obsolete ol' dinosaur like me!

SleazyRider - I do not know about the sync feature, but you can manually copy the database as explained above. I am asking the developer if it will sync between the two devicies and will get back to you. Are you sure you purchased Gun Log +P and not the original Gun Log as Gun Log +P supports Icloud and original Gun Log does not.

I have a similiar app on my Iphone called "Range Buddy". You log all your guns in to it with a picture if you like. You can load in sessions with targets. I started thinking about it. If I were to lose my phone..or as some of you have said...the info goes to a data base somewhere...I would possibly be targeted in some way by authorities if the laws were to change. Needless to say..it's been deleted from the phone. I got a little paranoid...and just figured it wasn't worth having it on the phone. Plus..I never used it that much anyway. Most people download apps...think they're great for a minute..and they remain untouched on their phones til they sell them.

I do have a cool app called "Hand Load" which you input your favorite loads and the cost of the componets and it gives you a breakdown on cost per unit of loads. You load in separate costs of components such as brass, powder, primers, bullets...then when you calculate..it gives you the cost per 25-50-100 and up. Neat application.

To the top?

Really?

Originally this looked to me like commercial spam, but nobody reported it as such and I let it go. At this point it's pretty clear the reason for this thread is to drive potential users to your app.

Sorry, but that's not what THR is for.
