Aesthetics aside, I am more interested in the components used to build the gun. Is it just being assembled here in the U.S., or is it being built here primarily with U.S. made components? How does the quality check out, compared to your SA M1911?
The logo is a little garish and I don't care for holes in the trigger, but it is otherwise tastefully done. I like the checkered slide stop and the lack of front slide serrations, which are unattractive and superfluous anyway. The rear serrations are well done and look as if they would offer a good grip. Does it have a FLGR, and is the frontstrap smooth, checkered or serrated?
No front serrations? How retro...passe...old school...How can anyone consider a semi without them? The gun's obviously not usable in this condition. I suggest taking it to a custom 'smith and having them added. (MHO is that your 4506 needs 'em, too.) ;-)
