Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Actually accumulated over the last month, with the final “piece of the pie” coming in yesterday!

Yesterday’s part was a Weigand Picatinny Rail for an early production Ruger 77, 270 Win. This will be used with the 2 sets of Weaver Quick Release Rings for the picatinny rail, to mount a typical 3-9 scope and a Leupold 6.5-20. It makes the rifle practical as a hunting rifle for small big game using the 3-9. Or, for long range work on small varmints/steel, using the 6.5-20. Should make a good coyote rig! memtb

Alpha 6 Dasher became available at Alpha Munitions (My buddy needs some bad), and Berger 105 Hybrids became available at Midway (We both need those). I was lucky to grab some Bergers, the last time (at a different site), they were gone before I could get checked out. I'm broke, but I'm happy. :)

Yesterday I walked into a Pawn Shop to see if they had any decent gun deals. I looked down on the bottom shelf behind the counter and I saw three boxes of .22LR. I asked the young man if they were for same and I laid a $100.00 bill on the counter. He picked it up and handed me the three boxes, grinning from ear to ear like this was his first sale ever. I was extremely happy as I have been looking for them for quite a while. I sure hope the young man still has a job today.

Geez l’m old ... I remember paying ~$15 for 1400 rounds (that included tax) ...

I just ordered an Athlon Optics Midas TAC 6-24x50 APRS3 FFP MIL scope. I keep hearing good things about Athlon scopes and wanted to check one out. The Midas TAC 6-24x50 has good reviews for a budget long range scope and Camera Land NY has had some no-box scopes for $519.99 shipped. I'll do a review in the optics forum once I've had opportunity to check it out.

A set of RCBS dies for 7.62x39. Got a good deal on them. 30.00 shipped. I don't have a rifle yet. Something i been researching. I want a bolt action or single shot. Leaning towards a CZ.

I've bought a bunch of parts for a first AR pistol build. With current (lack of) parts availability, it's likely to be a real mongrel. Starting with an Anderson stripped lower, which I was able to find locally.
