Many years ago when the blackpowder craze was going strong I built that rifle from a kit. I don't remember who produced the kit. I never shot it. I took it back to my buddy that owned the sporting goods store where I bought it and he sold it for me.

I couldn’t behave any longer and ordered a Tract scope. I was seriously impressed with the Tract 12.5X binos I looked through.

New handgun cleaning kit. The old one became incomplete and worn out.

Bought a monopod yesterday. Wife and I are still slaying ground squirrels over on our friend's ranch a couple of mornings every week, and even though we never shoot at the ones that are more than 75 or 80 yards away, they're hard to spot unless we're standing. Consequently, we do most of our ground squirrel slaying while walking the fence lines so that we have nearby fence posts to rest our .22LR rifles and handguns against when we shoot.
When we go again this Friday morning, I'm going to try my new monopod. Maybe I won't have to look for a fence post every time I spot a ground squirrel.
BTW, our oldest grandson is home for a few days (he lives in Vegas now), and he called my wife asking if we would like to get together with him while he's here. We're taking him ground squirrel hunting on Friday morning. :D

I ordered a Versa Max 2 IWB holster from Milt Sparks in Idaho for my Glock 29 10mm.

A long wait of about 6 months, however, it is worth it to get the perfect holster from this excellent company.

For my .22lr a 100yd shot is no problem. Shooting squirrels around here the problem is the squirrels are used to being shot at, so they don't stay in the open very long. It's hard to get a bead on them while they are moving so fast. I have learned to chase our tree squirrels to the top of the tree & bring them down with a .410 shotgun using 3" magnums.

I put a healthy down-payment on a pre-production handgun (HA! pistol or revolver?)

    Wait and see.

Be here in maybe 10 months, then I'll strut its stuff.

I had to buy a new set of hearing protection. When getting ready to enter the range I couldn't find my Pro Ears. I knew I wrapped them around the handle of my shooting bag so I figured they fell off. I went outside to check.

Just as you'd expect, when you lose something and buy a replacement the original will show up. It had been inside my bag instead of on the handle.

Well, now I have a spare for when the Pro Ears give up the ghost.

Two 325 round boxes of Federal Auto Match .22 l.r. at Walmart. I still enjoy buying ammo once in a while when I am grocery shopping.

BCM Recce rifle with a14.5 inch pinned and welded barrel, PSA "Dissipater" upper and a PSA "classic lower," Magpul rifle handguards, Magpul AR grip, 200 rounds of .5.56, low riser and a QD point for the BCM. I know the PSA isn't a real Dissipater but I really like a 16 inch barrel with rifle length sight radius. That helps these old eyes tremendously.
