Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

It was a nice surprise to find them. The Pachmayr’s did a great job for what they were suppose to do but rubber grips on a revolver is just a hard pill for me to swallow. I stumbled across these and thought I would give them a try.

You can see that there is a bit of a space between them and the base of the grip frame that I would prefer not be there but other than that I like the way they look.

Just received my order from rmr and midsouth 69 gr hpbt 224. ND 240 140 bthp 3 gun hunter in 6.5mm. They were both here when I got home from work.

Been looking at 6.5 Grendel barrels for my original T/C Contender lately. Was pretty set on SSK, but they were out of stock. Could custom order one but it was more expensive. Was just browsing google when up pops Graf's with an SSK 20" stainless barrel in 6.5 Grendel. I wanted a blued one since all of my contender stuff is blued, but hey, i like two tone guns too. And it was the last one in stock! I snatched it up quick.

Scope rings for a new to me scope only problem is they are to Low the scope hits the rifle which won’t work so I have to take them back to bass pro and exchange them!

On the way home from my mother's house in eastern Washington I dropped in a small-town gun shop off the beaten track and picked up these...158 grain .357 and .44 mag 240 grainers both with gas checks. Local caster sells them in the shop via consignment. Price wasn't bad...unfortunately there were no primers or Unique/Trailboss on the shelf....better luck next time.

As luck would have it the screws I ordered from Ruger showed up yesterday. I'm replacing all the old-style straight blade screwdriver screws with Rugers Torqx screws. I bought all of these for the price shown. On Midway USA they were $3.99 EACH...So, that would have been $159.60 without tax and shipping vs the Ruger price of $38.00 DELIVERED. That was an easy choice to make.

I got back from my mother's yesterday after an approximate 800-mile drive in the truck. Even though it was getting into the 90's here in the early AM I wasn't in the mood to be inside a vehicle again. Elected to ride the Harley (42-45 mpg vs the P/U's 15 mpg around town). Was buying some small things and knew they would fit in the hard bags.

First stopped by Tandy Leather and picked up a couple of bags of leather scraps for $5.99 each. I'm always using leather scraps for various projects in the reloading room (vice buffer for clamping onto barrels etc) and had been meaning to pick some up for a while.

Also stopped by the local gun shop and picked up .22Mag ammo I had been burning through with the Keltec PMR30. They removed the purchase limit, so I bought 6 of the 7 on the shelf and left one for the next customer.

I'm still working on a protracted project to scope some rifles I've had in the inventory for a while. Next up was the M1A Scout. Prior to heading out to run around today I looked at a few reviews of red dots and this one REALLY stuck out for the quality of the video production and the sheer abuse the scope was put through over an extended period of time. Halfway through the video I knew I was going to buy it and give it a try. If it didn't work out for me on the M1A I have other rifles it might be a good fit for.

Today's haul:

The scope was $299 out the door and is already on the M1A and waiting to be sighted in.
