Another Geissele ambidextrous Posi-Snap selector, this one is for my last non ambidextrous selector rifle left, my Armalite DEF10.

Geissele neck covering, I have a handgun class this AUG, and I still remember that even as an AZ native and local, the sun was very brutal. This time I will be more than ready.

I almost always add a small AR part, added a grip screw this time. I'll be good with just two now as spares as a just in case.

The aluminum Pachmayr snap caps were no good in my new 1911. Too short (1.20") and get chewed in mechanism or from jams. They jammed and jammed. So I bought a set of B's Dummies in nickel and they are longer, close to specified length (1.25") for the 1911 and they feed and eject beautifully.
Got a full refund for the Pachmayrs as well as some aluminum Pachmayrs I bought for my shotgun that were getting chewed on only a few cyclings. \

Also bought this for measuring overall length of cartridges. Probably should have gotten a better one and with 10th inches instead of 1/16ths.

Today: Rear sight screw for my Taurus Tx22 and a night sight front sight for my Taurus 856.

Yesterday: Had the smith at my gun range put on some XS Big Dot night sights I bought about a week ago for my Glock 19.

Later today or tomorrow (OK fine, not last three days unless I do it later today): I need to stock back up on 9mm and .22lr.

The last week I've bought several sizes of metric and English screws trying to figure out what size to use. I think I may just decide on a size and buy an appropriate tap. It isn't like these shooters are priceless relics .

Most notable of all is a pistol I bought (whole) today at a Gun Show. It fits in my 'historically significant 9mm Parabellum collection. I now have a Beretta Brigadier (1951), the first locked breech Beretta, the first Beretta chambered for 9mm Parabellum and the forerunner of the '92 M9 offering. I likely won't shoot it much. Chronograph it with the same fmj ammo I used for the others and see if it shoots to the sights.

Except the caliber and miserable horizontal safety - which makes "cocked and locked" technically possible and functionally a nightmare - it's not a bad issue weapon.

I enjoy hearing about those with a 'plan'.

“A good plan violently executed now is better than a perfect plan executed at some indefinite time in the future.”
    ― George S. Patton Jr.

Saving money that would be spent on frivolous items and matters to finance some future serious matter is a pretty good start. One may have to re-think things from time to time, but it's a good start.

She bought her first gun, a S&W 22 Compact, after renting and shooting one today:

Well my wife and I went out to eat for my birthday yesterday. She knows I've been wanting to get another safe, so we went out looking at safes. Along the way, we stopped at some gun stores in the area.

Needless to say, I didn't find a gun safe yesterday, but did find these instead

Well if it's like my other 9 Rugers, I'm sure I will lol. Unfortunately I have to wait to pick it up till Tuesday. I guess it gives me time to load up some more rounds.

    Well that stinks.

The reason I am asking about Ruger, more particular 1911 Rugers, is because I am strongly thinking about getting one in 9x19 for myself one day.

Well this will be my second Ruger 1911 in 9mm. I bought this one last year on my birthday. Navy Seals edition. It has such a great finish that I didn't want to scratch it up as a carry gun. I have shot about 600 rounds thru it. It's definitely a nice shooter. I plan on carrying the officers model, and hopefully it shoots as good as the commander.
