I just bought a Krag bayonet and scabbard. Someone tried to sharpen the blade, but the scabbard is in great condition for 100+ years old!!

Renewed my NRA membership for yet another year. Had to. My local Trap & Skeet Club requires NRA membership unfortunately.

Don't feel too bad, at least you have a club to enjoy. Try living in the hinterlands and being pestered non stop for support (I'm a life member so they are merciless in their begging, and embarrassing in their methods) and seeing nothing tangible in return! I do get a magazine at least. If I can wade through the nonsense and political crap there is an occasional article worth reading.

Today I went to two different gun shows. Yeah. Two! Both are within a day's drive of my place; I was home by five PM or so.

At one show I found and bought one round of eight by fifty-six millimeter rimmed (8x56mmR) ammunition - made in 1932 according to headstamp for one of my WW1 rifles. I'm not going to shoot it, it will be part of the display. Also, I found some older government contract ammunition and fifty round cardboard box of .45 ACP rounds. Again for my collection display.

At the second show, I found and bought a Smith & Wesson model 10-8 made between 1977 and 1981: one of the last of the pinned barrel guns. As evidence of the past owner, it has Herrett 'Shooting Star' grips and the wear patterns in the blueing indicate being carried in a holster. A bit of rust on the top of the frame and sides of the barrel suggests it was improperly stored. The chambers, barrel and recoil shield are just fine.
This is one of those for which I have no real need. But it is an old warrior and we have to stick together.

I picked up four sealed and two opened boxes of the stuff at a gun show a couple of years back.
    WWII production, with swastika markings.
I'm not sure that I want to shoot this stuff... .

I have a couple packs of the sort of thing you describe. Cardboard containers, two units each, NAZI markings head stamped [19]38. Not by my brilliant planning, came with one of the rifles when I bought it. The ammo, en bloc devices and boxes go into the display. I did shoot five of those to get an average muzzle velocity to expect. Those guys loaded hot!

Got myself an Eddystone M1917 that has been sporterized. Thinking of restoring the original military stock length but haven't decided yet.

could not resist this one at $10.99 a box of 20 and it has the rounded HP tip which feeds better than angular tip. Palmetto is having a huge sale and it looks like a lot of NORMA is on clearance at least in JHP. https://palmettostatearmory.com/

And for good measure I ordered 4 more of those no-name magazines that performed so well in my .45 ACP 1911. Cost $13.01 each! https://www.ebay.com/itm/321668986978

Couldn't help my self. I was at Meijers and saw this 555 rounds of 22LR for only $38.99, or about 7 cents a round. JHP too.

Almost forgot these 1/2-oz oil bottles I just received from an ebay seller. Nice for gun lubing since you can be far more precise in point of application. Three pack: https://www.ebay.com/itm/322463994623 Single bottle: https://www.ebay.com/itm/324046275361 Single has shipping so you are paying same as for two bottles, where the tri pack has no shipping fee, so really does not cost much more. Also, Made in USA!

Fits under stock grips of my 1911 and adds rubber finger groves up front. I'll see if this stops the grip safety tang from pounding my hand.

I just found a place (MidSouth) that has both 223 and 308 Lapua brass in stock at a fair price. I ordered 500 of each. (Ouch)

I bought an MDT XRS chassis for one of my CZ457’s 30% off.
I also bought 2 MDT AICS 7.5/308 magazines for nearly half price.

I was trying to buy one of the blemished MDT ACC chassis for 40% off but someone beat me to it.

CZ 83 380 ACP Pistol Review - YouTube , done by "Sootch".

Clicked Buy Now this afternoon on Guns A.

This will be a third Czech gun in the group. Wish I hadn't sold the nearly identical CZ-82 years ago.
