Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Give it some time...I think the two tone look with the Ruger Mk.II Model 512 is one of the sweetest looking .22s that I have ever seen!

I had an old FLC Molle vest so I bought a few mag pouches along with a belt and holster for my Kel-Tec CMR30 and PMR30. The helmet is an old CVC helmet cover (tanker helmet) that I turned into a bump helmet. The vest pouches hold three magazines each and there are two single mag pouches on the belt for a total of 8 spares. I am ready for any invasion from the hordes of evil squirrels that are hellbent on taking over the world.

Just took possession of a new DNT TNC225R multispectral scope. Looked like a (comparatively) inexpensive way to get some experience with DNV and thermal optics, which I know little to nothing about. Retirement is on the near horizon and I'm thinking I may want to do some pig and predator hunting.

Monday I put a substantial down payment at my local Turner’s, they are ordering me a new Les Baer Ultimate Master .45 with the 1.5”@50 yd accuracy guarantee. :)

Gonna be a looooong eight-month-ish wait for it to arrive. :(

Today I ordered three Wolff extra power extractor springs for my CZ 75’s, and I got a BCM gunfighter buttstock for my 7.62x39 AR in the mail.

Stay safe.

100 brand-new Winchester .44 Special cases from another member of THR arrived in the mail this afternoon. Beautiful! 😁😁😁
I've been having a hard time finding components, but now that I've got cases to go with the cast bullets from Rim Rock Bullets of Polson, Montana, I'm looking forward to working up a great, all-around load for my new "Lipsey's" Ruger Bisley .44 Special - which took 20 months to get here.

What powders ya got?

I load a lot of .44 Spl. for my Flattop Blackhawk with Unique, Bullseye, HP-38 and AA#5. Bullets range from 165 gr TCFP to 250 gr LSWCGC.

Stay safe.

I've got some Unique and some Winchester 231. I also have some Titegroup that I'm quite inexperienced with, and quite a bit of HS-6 because at one time I thought I could make it work in a .45ACP. I never did have much luck with it though - velocities were up and down, all over the place, and it was dirty. I guessed that maybe HS-6 wasn't designed to work well in relatively low-pressure loads like a .45ACP. Do you think it would work in my .44 Special for all-around, mid-range loads?
The bullets I'm hoping to use are from Rim Rock Bullets, and they're cast, 240gr SWC-HPs with gas checks. Rim Rock Bullets call them "Deer Grenades," but I don't plan on hunting deer with my .44 Special.
Anyway, thanks for your help. I have a bunch of load manuals, but I'm always looking for suggestions from someone with real-life experience when I'm trying to come up with a load for a new (to me) cartridge. :)
