Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

New vice came on the truck with the happy face!

4" jaws on a 6" drill press table.
Dang slots match the table. :)
Is there a fastener of choice for
securing it to the press

This kit is awesome for clamping stuff to your drillpress. The bolts should work perfectly in the slots on your table.

Went to my ffl today to pick up my new old crusty gal. She's in alot better shape then I figured. Lock up is super tight with no wiggle. Doesn't even hardly have a index line around cylinder. I don't think this old girl has been shot very much in her 100+ years. The nickle is in pretty good but dirty shape. No flaking or bare spots although she does have some wear in the usual places. 20241101_175114.jpg20241101_175125.jpgshould clean up nice and I'm definitely ready to send a few rounds downrange.

@Walkalong , what is that? Some kind of sub-munition magazine?
It's a .22 LR mage made to mimic the size of AICS mags for .308 for Remington SA 700 pattern rifles in .22 LR that folks use to shoot
NRL-22, PRS-22 where they want to be able to build rifles that mimic their centerfire rifles they shoot PRS with.

It would work in this Bergara B14R for example.

I bought a box of 325 rounds of Federal 40 grain "Auto-Match" .22LR at a big box store. I like Federal Ammo but there are critics out there of the auto-match round. The price was very reasonable. If have about 5 .22LR firearms and I'm sure some will fire it.
I loaded up on that stuff a couple of times. The older boxes do ok but I get 10-15% misfires from the newer boxes

Just bought another Sig P365X, but this one is the “Texas Rangers” edition which was $100 less than the first standard model.
The embellishment on top of the slide isn’t my bag, but the price was.

That would be a cool little gun, especially with a discount and with the Ranger logo.

My G-G-G-Grandfather was a Captain in the Rangers, he raised a company to ward off Comanche raids way back when after the Texas/Mexico war for Independence.

As for me, I got a delivery from Wolff; a bunch of replacement recoil and firing pin springs for my 1911’s and CZ 75-based guns.

Stay safe.

A Smith & Wesson 500 S&W MAG 8 3/8” revolver from Cabela’s…..
100 Starline 500 S&W MAG brass from HOP Munitions….
250ct 400 gr .501” bullets from T&B Bullet Co…..

:D:):D
The people at HOP munitions is a great group. I've been doing alot of leatherwork for the owner and many of his crew for years now. Several of my pieces have been shown on there social media accounts and ad campaigns. There brand ammo is top notch and some of cleanest burning I've ever used as well.

With age catching up with me*, compelling me to carry such “orthopedic” pistols as Glocks 17, 19x, and such, I took advantage of a magazine price promotion at Brownells, ordering half a dozen 24-round 9mm Glock-brand mags. (This sale ended Sunday.) It seemed to be appropriate, given the events of the week, to “let freedom ring,” just a bit.

*”Compact Nines,” as a class of pistol, are no longer my friends. Anything firing duty-level cartridges needs to have a duty-sized grip.
