• Possible Downtime Alert

I am working to migrate THR from the current cluster to a new one. I would like to get this done before the weekend, but it's unclear what the timeframe will be, as testing is still ongoing. As I am writing this the new (rebuilt) host is doing a burn-in to ensure that everything will keep running under load.

When the migration happens users will see a Cloudflare message indicatating it cannot connect to the server. This is expected, and depending on how the migration goes this may last from 30 minutes to 3 hours - I won't know more until testing the various migration options is complete and I have finalized the plan.

More information is available in this thread.

As always, thanks so much for your patience.

Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Evilbay :evil:comes through in a pinch, bought
H &R Model 999 Sportsman Top-Break, 22 LR, 1967 ,, PART: Cylinder Stop Assembly
cylinder stop (bolt), for an ongoing 8-year repair project on a 1953 H&R 999 Sportsman (see my post in gunsmithing forum).

Parts are drying up for these old revolvers Numrich, JacksFirst and others are blowing dust, bought this as the original was repaired when I first took possession, the pin on right side was bent causing a timing problem, I replaced the pin with a slightly larger diameter one and that corrected the timing issue, since I had the internals out of the frame while chasing the light strike problem I thought it would be good to replace it with an original part.

I purchased a used parkerized, 12 ga. Mossberg 500 with a 20" long feed tube
(holds 13 mini shells) shotgun about a year or so ago with all weather furniture. It has a light/strobe forend and I purchased a few accessories for it so that it can be set up in any configuration that you can imagine but it only has a brass bead for a front site.

So this week I ordered and installed a picatinny rail for the receiver then I purchased a new Holosun, HS 507C-X2 reflex site and picatinny base, that seemed to be what many suggested for a shotgun and I installed it and so far I am very pleased with it. I have yet to sight it in but I intend to start with 2-3/4" slugs and then recheck with #4 shot.

I bought two Weaver #12 bases and a #410 base to mount scopes on Savage 219 barrels. I think I prefer the one piece 410 base for a TC Encore. These fit the 219 barrel contour perfectly. I have a proper vintage Weaver K-3 P&CH to go on the 30-30 barrel. The ghost ring sight is too much of a challenge for my older eyes now.

Now the hard part, $25.00/hole X4 to drill and tap.
