it boggles my mind that people will invest in a high quality $800 rifle and yet then proceed to spend $25 on the crappiest optics money can buy.

Personally - I think people, dealers in particular, will slap some junker scope they have lying around on a rifle just to "gild the lily" in order to sucker somebody into buying the rifle or paying more than what the outfit is worth. In this case the tip-off may be the Leupold mounts paired with a Tasco scope.

I recall a Ruger #1 .375 H&H for sale last summer that had a BSA on it and I couldn't count the number of 30/06s and 7mags. I've seen with Bushnell "Scopechiefs" I've seen. LOL

If only it were in 30-06 ! But seriously that is a nice rifle. Years back I had one in 30-06 that was a sweet shooting thing, and certainly was easy on the eyes. Nice, nice guns!
