Folks, here's a link to a list of other important gun bill hearings coming up. Looks like we really need to be back in there on March 17.

Here's the link

Hey guys, take a look at this one. Am I reading it right, it looks like if it passed (of course it wouldn't) it would make Cecil County "shall issue" (why not do it for the whole state:confused: ).

HB 444

Also, lets get on the ball like we did for SB 288 on this one, it would repeal the built-in lock law. I doubt it will pass, but we all thought the AWB would pass too and at least for now it is off the table. Here is the bill: HB 652

We also need our voices heard on the "Citizens Protection Act of 2004", HB 859. If it passes (which of course it won't) we will be able to finally get CCW permits in MD. Then there is the Senate version SB 137

I wasn't able to make the session on Tuesday, but have been making a bunch of calls and emails. I even got a reply from Senator Giannetti. Non-committal, but at least a reply. By March my new shoulder should be healed enough so I can attend the session. In the meantime we need to keep pouring it on and let these guys know that we are tired of fooling around and want some relief. Adding some bucks to the right senators warchests should help as well.

SB137

I am putting that one on the calendar, but I may be out of town then. Now that I've experienced this whole "lobbying" thing, I now know to come up with a written submission of testimony. If I can't be there in person, I'll still submit something in writing.

That sounds like a good idea except for the fact that I'm in district 21 (Senator Giannetti) and I'll be hanged if I'll add one penny to his war chest.

Hey Cliff, good to hear from you as well. The operation this time was a lot easier than the first. Hope to be burning gunpowder soon. You get one of the new Sig 1911's yet?

Nope, not yet. I may be wrong, but I've heard that they will be sold in MD sometime in the near future. But I do want one.I'm drooling on the keyboard everytime I see a posted pic of one.

Well, if they repeal that BS trigger lock and shell case requirements, you ought to be able to get one quickly. Here's hoping it happens. Got my Kimber all tuned up and back from the gunsmith on Wednesday. Novak tritium sights and a Kart NM barrel.

Cliff, thanks for the heads up. You can bet that I'll be in Annapolis again to speak the good word for us.

you all can look froward to another round of annoying bulk pm's from me too!:D

WOW! Those are some great bills!

Especially HB859.....

Everybody needs to read these....

Let's go get em' again!:fire:
