I own a Remington 700 SPS varmint in .223 that I am very happy with. It shoots sub MOA and I really like how cool it looks.

Does Remington makes a heavy barreled 30-06 that is similar to my SPS varmint. I checked on their website and several online gun shops but couldn't find one. Thank you.

they don't make them now but you could easily have one built. a long time ago some of their international match rifles were built in 30-06 but i think they were all 40x's & have a very high price tag when one of them comes up for sale

hmmmm.... OK I might have to consider just getting a .308 then. I was thinking that would be a good general purpose hunting gun.

Unfortunately, heavy barreled .30-06's are something that must be custom built these days.
