Help changing mainspring in SP101......

Hey guys, I have the Wolff spring kit on the way, and I'm planning on switching the 14 pound factory main (hammer) spring with either an 11 or 12 pound spring. I've already disassembled the pistol with the aid of You-Tube videos, but I haven't been able to dredge up anything specific about changing the spring. I'm pretty sure it isn't rocket-surgery, but I anticipate probable headaches after removing the temporary detent pin, especially when compressing the new spring and trying to re-insert the pin.
Any specific advice or instruction much appreciated.......

Clamp the top end of the strut in a vice.

Use an old dinner fork or other slotted tool to depress the spring so you can take the pin out.

Assemble in reverse order.

PS: Polish the rough edges of the strut while you have it out.
