    hey all

i'm looking for a custom hard case for my 700. its wearing a bushnell 6500 with super large tactical knobs, which makes it difficult to fit in a normal case. plus i'm flying with it soon, so it needs to be extra safe.

so i figure if im going to pay for a case, i might as well get one custom cut and such for the remmy and the glock. i emailed a place (pelican i think) and haven't gotten any reply for an estimate. :banghead: i've seen people post pics with nice custom ones, but cant seem to find a place on my own.

does anyone know of a good place to get this done? if you can give a link i'd appreciate it.

    thanks much

I've never owned a custom gun case, but where I work we get some really nice transport cases from Opti-case in Houston. I've been impressed with their custom designed cases. The thick foam padding is always cut with extrememly tight tolerances and they will design pretty much anything you want.

I'm sure the cases aren't cheap, and they are a bit on the heavy side, but FWIW, I believe in them enough haul or ship a few hundred thousand dollars' worth of tools and instruments in them without a worry.

    Hope this helps.

get the hardigg storm case. plenty of online retailers. if you're in a hurry, just cut the foam yourself with an electric knife. if you have some time, get a hot-wire cutter and make it look professional.
