Help ID 7mm Mauser Headstamp

I just got some 7mm Mauser surplus for my uncle and would like to decipher the headstamp:

R...O...D
....57

I imagine the 57 is year of production, as there are a few rounds with the same top and side markings, but with a 56 or 55 on bottom.

By the way, if you need 7mm Mauser surplus, which is just about nonexistent these days, check SAMCO, where we just gave $250 for 1000rds after shipping. Get 'em while they're hot.....
