I just got some linked 30-06 that I would like some help Identifying. I have two cloth belts of about 200 rds each. I am guessing they are for a M1919 MG.

One belt all rounds have a head stamp of

FN 74

The other belt all the rounds have a head stamp of

FNB 30 80

All ammo and belts are in very good shape, the belt with the FN 74 is missing every 5th round which would be tracer. I know the FN I am assuming would be for Fabrique Nationale but the FNB has me stumped.

Also the metal starter tab on one belt has this on it
30 IN MKI
QV62
The other one is blank metal on both sides

And last but not least the always persistent question, corrosive or not? Not that I care, I will shoot it either way, just want to clean correctly if need be. And you don’t want to know how much I paid for it because you will be green with envy!

I have a couple of the cloth belts for my 1919A4. They work pretty good but it runs much better with metal links. The cloth belts can be difficult to find.
