This says made in Belgium and the best I can see is "GHOKEE" on it. And "laminated steel Belgium" Any idea what this thing is?
I haven't a clue, but if you can get it for a hundred bucks----do it. That gurl is waaaaay cool looking.....
It's a shotgun shaped artifact from another century. Thousands of these were made in Belguim and imported here, where they sold for a few dollars. Soft steel, soft parts, short chambers, and designs not made for the pressures associated with modern ammo preclude their safe use. Hang it over the mantel and admire it.....
Any idea what this thing is? Yep. It's what is known as "a wallhanger," in that it is best used as a decorative object hung on a wall. lpl
Crack in the wrist, gaps on the face, unknown and questionable quality from yesteryear, rust and corrosion - either from BP or neglect, yep - wall hanger take the forearm off and take pics of the water table and barrel flats - those markings might give us a better clue
Gorgeous black powder gun. I am not sure of the maker but Belgium and guns is most of the time like Swiss and clocks. A great hanger and talk about show piece.
Thanks for the responses. I will take off the forearm, as I had not thought about that. It is not mine but I am helping a buddy sell all of his guns as he needs cash.
