Okay, I'm all over the map on some of these, and so I'm throwing it open to suggestion/sage advice.

    I currently have:
    Ruger SP101 .357 snub - stainless
    Rossi M335 .38 spl snub - blued
    Kel-Tec P11 - parkerized w/night sights
    Phoenix HP22 - blued

Which of the guns in the poll would you go with next?
My wife has a P32 that I love the feel of, and can see carrying it as an "always" carry gun...

...but I LOVE the looks of the CZ in Duo-Tone
...and I WANT to add a .45 to the mix. Ruger P90 or P97.
...the new Kel-Tec (.380?) may be an option, instead of the P32
...but the Bersa and FEG's are cool, inexpensive, and proven reliable
...oh, and don't forget that sexy Beretta!

Since I seem to have no occipital lobe, can someone provide me a little reasoning?

    Thanks,
    FM

The CZ. You need a full-size auto in your mix, and the CZ is a reliable and inherently accurate pistol that has infinitely more elegance and grace than anything made by Sturm-Ruger. I have 2 CZ's (75 and 85 Combat) and they are among my favorites. Look at CZ's .45 in addition to the Ruger's.

Edit: I see you listed the compact CZ. Same goes for design etc. over the Rugers, but I'd look hard at the full-size ones. They have a slim profile, and you can still get full cap (15 rd) mages pretty easily.

    thanks, treeprof!

Funny you mention the CZ97 .45, it was going to be another choice, but I thought I was getting a little diluted with all the various sizes and calibers already, so I edited it out of the poll.

I know a guy who had exactly what I want in a CZ75 compact, but I couldn't quite get it all together before he consigned it at a shop. They may still have it...not sure.

I have been trying to train myself to stick only to the choices given, but since it has already been mentioned, I'll throw in another vote for the CZ in 45 acp.

I agree that you need a full sized auto pistol. It is good for home defense and nicer to shoot for fun.

I chose the Ruger P97 because I have the P95 and find it is very well made and accurate and a great bargin.

If you are going to go to a full size for HD, it might as well be a .45 or a hi-cap 9mm.

It seems that you have the mid size guns covered or I might have suggested a Bersa.

There's nothing sexy about the Beretta 9000s, they're ugly, they hurt and they're a pain in the :cuss: Pick up the 92FS in Inox. Now THAT'S a sexy gun you can have fun with at the range!:D

I have only heard good things about the CZ...that is probably the way I would go. Plus the ammo is fairly cheap, which means more range time.

    Beretta 9000fs

It shoots straight. It's cheap to shoot. You can use hi caps mags in it with adapter. It IS sexy. And it is a BERETTA!;) You can carry cocked and locked or as a double action and locked or not. Did I mention it is a BERETTTA.:D

I voted CZ-75, but I'd also recommend any of the Ruger 9mm's too. Cheap ammo, easy to shoot, and (if you reload) can sometimes use the same bullets as .38's...

    Good luck w/ your purchase...

I have a P32 but the CZ is the only gun on your list I have any desire to own (though I own an EAA and have owned CZs in the past).

Kel Tec TBA, cause I'm going to get one or both if they're not ridiculous like a P-11 chambered for .380 or something like that.

The CZ-75, just superb worksmanship in an affordable package, I'd pick the Beretta second though.

If you're seriously considering the Beretta...check out www.berettaforum.net and see what hey have to say about this gun. Maybe they can give you better insight.

    Thanks to all!

Biggest surprise here was the runaway fave CZ75 over the Ruger.
With the Kel-Tec announcement, the P-3AT's definitely on the radar screen for 2nd half 2003.

Next purchase for me: CZ75 duotone, either PCR or compact.

Shmackey-- yours still on consignment? I'd be surprised if it hadn't sold yet.

    Any other input, anyone?

My son bought a CZ 75 Compact. I shot it and it was sweet! Great trigger pull, accurate, a fun shooter. It's my next handgun.

I would get the Kel Tec TBA. Sounds like this is going to be a great gun.

I too, voted for the CZ. I think this would turn out to
be in your best interest; taking all the criteria you
    listed into consideration!

I voted for the Beretta, I have always had doubts about the quality of Bersa, and Kel-Tec they just feel cheap to me, and refuse to give Ruger my money. I dont know much about CZ but man they make some ugly guns IMO. I do like the looks of the P90 though but Rugers gun show stance turns me off.
