Well, very nice collection there, to be sure!
I also like some of the semi custom guns from Wilson.
Vs this gun which was build by Nighthawk which was bought off the shelf. There was nothing custom about it. The configuration and build was determined before I bought it.
Both are excellent guns. One is a bepoke custom the other is not. If money and time are not an issue I would call Mr. Ted Yost.
www.derrprecision.com and spoke to the owner who spent the time to learn exactly what I wanted. Caspian frame/slide, Wilson Combat internals, Kart barrel and everything tweaked to my specs. It took close to a year to get it done, but it was worth the wait and every penny I spent. If time is short then I’d go with a semi custom. If you have the time to wait then go with a full custom. You will not be disappointed.
Derr does beautiful work.
Wow. That is a nice-looking 1911.
That gun, but instead with walnut scales, would be exactly as I am seeking. Beautiful.
I’d be proud to wear that to a BBQ
