I find myself owning far more types of ammo than I do firearms. As any good gun enthusiast knows, this is a sign that I need more guns. So I ask you to help me find good firearms to use with the following Calibers.

    .32
    .357 Sig
    .45 Long Colt
    .44 Mag

    .22 Mag
    .308
    8mm
    .22-250

I have a Ruger Blackhawk in .45 long Colt that's a lot of fun.

I'll second what danny said about a Ruger Blackhawk for the .45 Long Colt, but what ".32" are you asking about? I recently bought a little Taurus .32 H&R Magnum for the same reason you stated - I had a bunch of ammo for it. But I like it so much it has won a permanent spot on my belt as I work outside around the place here.

    .32 - Beretta Tomcat
    .357 Sig - Sig P229
    .45 LC - Ruger Blackhawk
    .44 Mag - Smith M629
    .308 Win - Winchester M70 Featherweight
.22 Mag - Ruger Single Six
8mm - no opinion, but a Mauser K98 might be nice
22-250 - Ruger M77 or a Ruger #1 single shot if money isn't an object.

The 8mm is 8mm Mauser and the .32 is .32 Auto.

I have started looking at keislers but I wanted the input of others.

You're worse than me. I went out last night and bought 6-24x40AO scope that I don't have a rifle for. Now I'll probably have to go buy a varmint gun for my new scope.

    gbran...

you sound like me. I've had a 6-24x42 AO Sightron scope that I bought 2 yrs ago hoping to buy a PSS to go along with it. Well, the scope still sits in my drawer.

.32- NIB Seecamps are now available for around $350 but if it's not really good ammo that the Seecamp will like....get a Tomcat
.357 Sig- Sig 239, get the Nickel .40 and buy a .357 barrel
    .45 Long Colt- Beretta Stampede
.44 Mag- Ruger Blackhawk Stainless Hunter
.22 Mag- Ruger Single Six, so that once you burn up that "answer to an unasked question" .22 mag ammo you can swap cylinders and have a nice .22LR gun
    .308- Tikka T3 Lite
    8 mm- sell the ammo
.22-250- something with a very heavy barrel

.32--Colt Model M 1903 (Sorry Gunsnrovers, what is commonly referred to as a "Colt Hammerless" is actually a .38. BTW--both actaully have hammers)

The only other I'd comment on is the 45LC, which I would recommend the Colt Anaconda. Built as stout as a Ruger, with the good looks and class of a Colt. I suppose a SAA would be better, if you can afford it, but I prefer my single action guns to have slides.

I bought a box of .40 S&W, cause I know my next pistol will more than likely be in that cal. Same reason, (Rifle wise) that I bought a couple hundred rounds of .223

I have some 8mm sitting around from when I got my Argie Muaser and thought it shot the same as a K98.

My big problem is the reverse, though. I need to find the following calibers for weapons I inherited.

    50 cal BP
    43 Egyptian
    7mm Remington
    7.65x53, (The Argie)
    30-40 Krag

Not impossible, but not cheap or plentiful either.

I can't complain about inheriting old MilSurps and Relics, but why couldn't gramps have owned a 10/22, model 37, or garand or something... :D

Ok here is what I have decided on so far.

    .32: Kaltec P32
    .357 Sig: Sig 228
.45 Long Colt: Unknown still I had not thought of a Lever action till now
.44 Mag: Ruger Redhawk or Taurus Tracker

    .22 Mag: Leaning towards a Rem 597
    .308: No Idea :(
8mm: Not sure here either. May just sell the ammo.
.22-250: See above. .223 does everything this will.

    Have fun with your choices.

Snake Eyes, you may be right about the .32ACP not being called a Hammerless, but my 1903 in .380 has the little words "Hammerless" right there on the slide where Colt put it.
