Hello, I Have a ruger 10/22 and it has a firing problem. When I am using it it only fires once and that is when u put a new clip in and you let the slide close hard. or i only shoot one bullet at a time and load it manualy. I know that it is not a clip problem because after it shoots the first shot it loads the second. Do you have any suggestions on what is wrong with my rifle? Also can you tell me how to fix it.

Before the smart people jump in.. When is the last time you took the gun apart (including pulling the bolt out) and cleaned it? A dirty 10/22 jams and miss feeds like crazy which I learned the hard way back in high school when I bought mine.
Also, what ammo are you using? Have you tried something different?
Another also.. I realize you don't think it is the magazine but have you tried another one? What magazine are you using?
