I've been shooting my G34 since mid summer. Based on the internet reports I figured if the sights were still attached when I got the gun I would be lucky, and even if they were, they would fly off somewhere in the middle of the first mag.

Well, they are still attached about 2500 rounds later, and the rear sight has even stayed where I put it, which has kind of surprised me because the adjustment mechanism does look flimsy.

Anyhow, I would still like some new ones to improve both sight picture and durability. I'm pretty much set on some kind of thin front post w/ red fiber optic dot.

The rear sight is where I'm having issues. I like the profile and sight picture of the Warren/Sevigny rear; my only problem with it is that it is not adjustable. I had to adjust the factory rear sight for both windage and elevation to get on target with my load, and would like to retain the ability to tweak it in the event that I change the load, or the barrel, etc.

I can't seem to find an adjustable rear with the "rabbit ear" type design (corners cut away) like the Warrens have. I am thinking of getting a Dawson adjustable rear and running it for a while, and then decide if I would like to try to get a gunsmith to cut the corners off.

Are there any options I'm not thinking about here?
