I recently got my trust started and should have it finalized very shortly. That being said I want to start the process of purchasing a suppressor for my 308.

Primary purpose will be bolt 308 and an AR style 308, also I would like the ability to use it with a 300 blackout sbr and possibly a 5.56 sbr as well. I might invest in a 5.56 suppressor down the road so that application is probably moot for this inquiry.

Can anyone suggest a product that would fit my bill? I have done some research and not quite sure if I should get SS or Ti, rapid fire is probably not very likely. I have read good things about YHM and really like the price range, Im willing to spend more if its really worth it but would like to avoid getting something that is overkill for my needs. I am a casual shooter and might someday compete in something but it would only be for fun and bragging rights.

Many thanks

I forgot to add that Im looking for a dealer near Fort Worth if anyone knows of one or has experience with any one in particular

Call Mike, owner of http://www.selectarms.com/ in Plano. Tell him Morris sent you.

For what you want, I would get an AAC 762 SD and I know he has them in stock. He also has a bunch of others to pick from too.

Just talked to Mike, great guy. I think we have the wheels turning in the right direction.

Make sure he gets you a referal discount next time.

I bought the Thunderbeast 30P1 for my .30 cal shooting I bought mine from silencershop.com which is hill country class III. The have been super nice and very professional.

Chuck Ross at Ross precision in Fort Worth or Clark at Cottonwood Armory in Madisonville (cottonwoodarmory.com). Clark built me 2 custom cans that fit over the barrel on my AR-15 and AR-10. they're bigger than most cans but very quiet. Tested one of their new ones over the weekend on a 7 mag and it was ridiculous. Recoil was like my .22 mag and NO muzzle last whatsoever. Fun stuff and great guys to deal with.
