Help with cimarron model p.

I have a cimarron model p thats about 2 years old now. shooting it the other day I noticed the cylinder was not locking while shooting and with the hammer in full cock the cylinder would still turn. The locking pin was not fully engaging. I did some research and took it apart. I thought I would find the sear/bolt spring to be broken as I have read but it seems to be fine. one of the notches on the bottom of the hammer has some wear. I will atttach pistures of the parts and hopefully someone can guide me in the right direction to fixing my gun. I also put it back together and only got 3 clicks on the hammer?

When the "bolt/cylinder stop" of a single action is not engaging and letting the cylinder spin freely, it's almost always that the arm of the spring that pushes up the bolt is either weak or broken.

Yours, at least to me, appears to be broken. I have replaced them in a few Colt clones over the years, and have not scene one with the split down the middle like that before.

Never opened a Cimmaron, so can't swear they don't use a spring with that split but there also appears to be a stress crack at the base of the bolt spring.

Spring is definitely broken but you do not want to order a replacement from Cimarron. Get a kit from Wolff to replace the hammer spring and the trigger/bolt spring (which is music wire). Or you can just buy the Heinie music wire trigger/bolt You want the Uberti kit.

Thanks guys for the help. I saw that kit from wolff and was planning on getting that not to badly priced either. Is it it normal to have that wear on the hammer and bolt that I showed in the pictures? also the hand has some wear on it I can post pictures if needed just wondering if that is common.

Hard to tell from your pictures. Some wear is normal. How many rounds, how much dry firing? Italian replicas have a bad rap around how hard the parts are, and how well fitted. BCCL has it right. The spring is broken.

now that I look at it again its not as bad as I thought. Gun probably has 500 rounds through it only a handful of dry-fires and a lot of use with snap caps.
Can't wait to get the springs and test it out. Thanks again for the help.
