Last Saturday, I put about 300-350 rounds through my Valtro.

I am pretty happy with my consistency - my groups are getting smaller ever trip but at about 18-20 yards, I am hitting about 3-4" above where I am aiming.

I adjusted the rear sight down several times - about 3 clicks per time, it helped a tiny bit, but I am still hitting high.

I am using the right sight picture (circle resting on front sight).

A guy at work has a "diagnostic" target that says high shots mean you are breaking your wrist or something - anyone have any ideas?

Use a benchrest/sandbags to confirm grouping at 20 yards.

If it is your problem, then its time for dryfiring each night, 10 minutes. The Valtro can take it. ;)

You can use what ever sight picture you want as long as you use the same one every time and adjust your sights accordingly. I use, and I believe it is set up to be used as the top of the front sight even with the top of the back sight and centered in the notch with the top of the sights lined up at the 6 oclock positon on the x ring.

I do think more experience will cure this but just out of curosity, is the mainspring housing arched or flat?

Probably breaking the wrist is correct. Main spring housing would make no difference in aiimed fire, only point shooting. Yeah, what the heck, give it to SanduneCC. A litttle trick ; instead of holding the pistol straight up and down, if you are right handed, cant your wrist about ten degrees left (counter-clockwise). This usually helps lock it up in line with forearm bones, and makes it easier to keep locked. Try it! Just don't get toooo carried away with the cant. It will help, trust me ( where have I heard that before):)

My Kimber was doing the same thing....my CZ's were dead nuts on! I loosened my strong hand grip and compensated with my weak hand....It helped alot. A pro shooter told me to go about 60% weak hand and 40% strong hand for grip pressure....
I did this and my double taps are within 1-2" at 5 yards fairly consistently..so it works pretty well.
Shoot well
