Picked up several hundred 165 gr. JHP 45 ACP bullets at a sale. Have done several searches for load info on other forum without any luck. Anyone have load data loading this bullet.

Who made the bullets? What is the length of the bullet? What powder(s) do you want to load?

165 gr is an uncommon bullet weight in the .45 acp except for some all copper bullets. Best bet for load data will be to contact the bullet manufacturer.

You may try a Barns manual, I think they make a 160gr .451 bullet you could kind of interpolate data between the 160 and the 185.

Did you weight the bullets? They may be marked 165g instead of 185g.

Use 185 Gr JHP data and you will be safe. It won't be max, but safe and fun. What kind of shooting are you planning on doing with them?

Sinterfire makes a lead free copper/tin HP at 165gr. It is the only one I have found.

    MG 165 gr. JHP

They are 165gr. JHP that Montana Gold bullets use to make which they no longer do. Contacted MG and they didn't have any load info. MG said look thru reloading books-- I did and didn't find any info on 165 gr. JHP. Bullets will be shot thru STI SS I had built last year. I shoot USPSA and will probably shoot ammo at local club matches. Have following powders - N320 & 350, WSL & WST, Hodgdon ( Clay's, Universal and HS-6) and SR 4756 and SR 7625.
Will look thru and find a good powder for 200 gr JHP to work up load.

    Thanks..
