I found a Browning A5, 20ga Magnum, 26" barrel, IMP CYL, Vent Rib, Japan gun, this afternoon. It's 99.8% condition. No marks in the wood at all, perfect bluing and just one very light scratch on the barrel by the back of the rib. I thought it was a human hair at first it was so light. Some may not have even noticed it. No box.

I didn't have a bore light but what little I could see it looked clean.

The price was $549.00 firm.

Where does this price fall in terms of high, low or just right?

Thanks.

I'll echo Kentucky...that is way low for a 20ga Mag.

Buy it, or you can let me know where it is...

I just gave $700 for a Inv + 20 gauge A5 and felt I was doing good.

I'm surprised the gun in question is a Miroku and fixed choke. Seems that lately the convenience of choke tubes has made the Japanese-produced A5's bring more than the FN counterparts.

Thanks folks. :)

I went back this afternoon and looked at it again. I took a bore light with be this time. The bore is shiny, smooth and clean. I cycled the action a few times and it was smooth as my other two A5's. I took the forearm off and inspected, all was clean and well oiled and appeared to be tight.

So, I'm now the proud owner of a new Browning A5, 20ga Magnum, 26" Imp Cyl, vent rib shotgun.

I'm tickled to death to find such a clean gun, one that I have always wanted and just never bought, at a bargain and affordable price both.

The new Beretta PX4 with Trijicon's or FNP-40 equipped the same way, that I originally went in to buy, will have to wait a couple of months, but I'm happy to have one of them take a backseat to this.

I put it in layaway until next week, when I pick it up I'll post some pics.
