Greetings, I have a Howa 1500 that I like very much. I wanted a good scope mounts so I purchased Burris turn in mounts with signature rings. What I am running into after mounting it is eye relief is not correct. I cannot bring the scope back far enough to get a full sight picture. Any idea on scope mounts. the Howa accepts the same mounts as the Remington 700 SA in 223. Thanks

Yup, you need 'extended' mounts- They will allow you to move the scope rearward a little more.

If your Howa is a long action, and the scope is a short one, you may need to utilize a picatinny/weaver rail...they, to me are efin ugly but they do the trick, because proper eye placement and cheek weld is paramount for good accuracy.

What Howa do you have, caliber...? Is it a long or short action, and what brand and model scope, objective size are you wanting to put on it...?

Redfeild makes extended rings for that situation go to the Brownells site and look them up.I think they will fit the Burris dove tail but ask to make sure
