    The Smith & Wesson numbering system is VERY easy to understand.
    Extremely logical one you understand it.

    Or at least it was until this year. :uhoh:
    When they released the Model 619 and Model 620.
    And then they made it even worse with the Model 520 which is VERY different from the original Model 520.

    Ive paid zero attn to smiths over the year most of my wheelies are colts and rugers i did have a model 29 at one time

    and the xframe is easy to understand where i get lost is all the little -1-6 and what they mean if i llok need a pocket referance guide

    Nice list, thanks. I know most of the S&W model #'s by heart though and even some of the dash number changes but I never really did bother to learn the numbers of the ones made after like 2001-2002 or so. I have no interest in the internal lock, hi viz sight, MIM things now being put out for the most part.
