Here's Comes The New Firearm Legislation 2015 Version

Status
Not open for further replies.
Federal HB47 would require all dealers to supply 'secure gun storage or a safety device.'

922(z) already exists (Child Safety Lock Act of 2005) requiring locks for sales of hand guns. If I understand HB47 correctly, this would apparently expand that to include ALL gun sales. But since there are no record keeping requirements in the current or proposed legislation, I’m not to sure how it could be enforced. Personally, I’ve never had a lock even mentioned of by any of many FFL’s that I have ever purchased from.

If it sounds stupid that's because it was introduced by Sheila Jackson-Lee.

Illinois: We kids our old 'buddy' Rep. Michael J. Madigan is back. We like to call him 'Slick Willy'. What this clown does is grab a bunch of firearm laws and strike the word 'the' from a sentence and then ads the word 'the' right after it. Why would someone do this you ask? Because he has then registered them with the house so he can play games later on in the session. This man really should be watched like a hawk. Every one of the following were added by him using the exact same method:

HB1117
HB1118
HB1115

http://amgoa.org/Proposed-Utah-Gun-Law-HB0260/State-Law/28408

Looking at the text of the law, I don't see anything about traveling through the state. I believe that it is simply a constitutional-carry law. I may be wrong though.

Link to the text:

http://le.utah.gov/~2015/bills/static/HB0260.html

The added subsection (4) at the very end of the text is added in its entirety and is independent of the traveling language in subsection (3) above it.

Actually looking at it again I think you are correct, it was the indenting of the new section that threw me.

Minnesota SF684 is a very strongly worded constitutional carry bill

I love the clause that specifically makes it illegal for any public official to stop, harrass, or detain anyone exercising their right to carry. The official will personally pay court cost, attorney, etc. A quick youtube search will prove that 49 other states may need such a law. Something about shall not infringe comes to mind.
