I was wondering what ever happened to the Heritage Arms Stealth 9mm gas-delay pistol. I know that they quit making them but did they not sell well? Were there functional problems? I contacted the manufacturer and was told that they discontinued them because of "high manufacturing costs, etc." Yeah, when you sell them for 300 bucks, there might not be much profit - maybe they should have raised the price?

i got my 9mm stealth for less than $300 including 2 extra mags. it works great but, the finish (black) is sorta "lumpy" and i had a hecka time trying to get the slide off the frame. :cuss:

smith shudda bit the bullet and just brought this gun in from south africa rather then introduce the sigma series :banghead:

Hang on qa minute...

Well, apparently it isn't QUITE gone.

Somone, presumably Alex DuPlessis, is producing the pistol, or rather it's successor, as the ADP Mk. II, now available in .380 auto, 9mm paqra., .40 S&W, and .45 ACP.

Naturally, that's no guarantee that anyone's importing the darn things right now, but they DO seem to exist. Somewhere.

Just so you know...

duplessis is the original designer of the pistol we know as the heritage stealth. smith was looking at buying the rights to it to compete with the glocks...they came out with their sigma line instead.

my understanding was that the rights to the stealth (i really like the name) was purchased by heritage arm for domestic production.

the ADP Mk II seems to have lost all the grace of the original
