Since you seem to have an "in" with these people, may I suggest to you to suggest to them  that they incorporate a gutter sight system similar to what NAA offers as an option (click on below image for enlarged view) ...

... (I'm posting this instead of PM'ing ya in case the Rohrbaughs lurk here ;) ). Also, I heard from my dealer (when he called rearding price and availability) that aluminum grips are NOT available. Is he not talking to the right people or is he correct?

PS: Does anyone know what the trigger pull is expected to be?

1. Groove sight suggestion: already done, but they were already considering it. Other candidates are similar to those on the P-32, and the "standard" dovetailed sights. I'm used to those on the P-32, but I think a groove sight with a contrasting color in the groove would be better. It's really easy to place the muzzle on the target and bring up the back of the gun to make the line disappear.

2. Aluminum and carbon fiber grips. Rohrbaugh sells to distributors, AFAIK.

3. Trigger is supposed to be long, firm, and smooth like any good DAO. I've seen the parts, and getting the trigger "perfect" should be easy.

It's an outstanding design, and even superior to George Kelgren's, IMO, because it uses a compression spring for the hammer spring instead of an extension spring.

Yes, it's true. One of the first things I'm going to do with mine is take it apart.... :D

Latest word is $945. But it's never stayed the same for two consecutive inquiries....

Great! Keep us posted, Jeff! :D

Did you get a bunch of good photos of the R-9 prototypes at the SHOT Show?

Handled one of these critters yesterday at the Valley Forge gun show. TINY! Very good trigger and appear to be well made.

Big problem is the price > $900. I hope they can stay in business. As nice as the gun is I don't think they will sell that many at that price.

Bet they do, Ron. Last tune up for my car was about $500, and a set of tires was $400. Dollars are relative.

If this micro blaster turns out anywhere near like I think it will, a lot of them will end up in purses as gifts to women who drive Escalades on shopping trips. IOW, there will be a LOT of snob appeal among people who can afford them. The crucial buying criterion will be whether or not she can rack the slide, and if she can't, she'll carry it with one in the pipe.

Unless they've shown one in the last few days with sights, there hasn't been a gun with sights on it yet.

I'm hoping they put a grove with a bright strip full length on the slide. Since the whole gun is only 4.9" long, there's not much chance of anything but an ultra-short sight radius.

Why did you say "ultra-short sight radius"? Were you kidding?
