Hi Power magazine question

I can't tell who made them by the pics. If they are Mec Gar, they are good. If they are Pro-Mag, they may be good. If they are USA Brand, run away.

Anyone know who makes HP makes with a metal follower?

Those are Inglis style mags (the follower and split-tail baseplate are the giveaways). I HIGHLY doubt that they are original, but they should work fine. Just be aware that they are old-style, with aluminum follower, and the feed lips don't hold the bullet as high as new Browning/Mec-Gar mags do. They should be tested for feed reliability with hollowpoints.

Personally, I would go for it. I would probably not use them for carry until they've been thoroughly tested, but reports on the now-defunct fnhipower.com said that they were a good buy.

Those look identical to the Canadian Inglis magazines, except for the "R". The real ones would have a "JI" mark on the tube.

There have been quite a few Indian Inglis copies around lateley that come with the same type of magazine, but I don't know if they have the "R" on them. Many believe that an Indian company purchased Inglis equipment and is now manufacturing these guns and magazines.

Those may be Indian magazines.
