Guys I got my replacement side from Midway. The paint on it was all dickered up. Called them up and they're sending a replacement. Score.

Odd glitch would not let me post yesterday. Did you order a new slide or just a sight?

That is a KRD mag, South African I think. 2 extra rounds.

Those mags have a reputation for being troublesome. The only ones I could find (from CDNN back in the day) were (supposedly good quality) surplus . The 5 or 6 I owned ended up being trashed. I couldn't find replacement springs for them -- and it wasn't long before they needed them.

The 15-round Mec-Gars that I later picked up have been excellent.

With regard to my recent reply on trigger pin removal and the apparent confusion as to proper procedure (#61) refer to the book by the late Stephen Camp a noted authority on the High Power pistol. Camp describes the removal in detail and sometimes difficulty incurred. As noted previously the pin is removed right to left and a proper punch will preserve the integrity of the stepped down portion of the pin. I have removed numerous pins in this fashion and have never had one " walk" after reassembly.
